The Story of Wolf Pup's First KIA

Before I begin this story I just want to OVERSTATE how proud I am of my 8 year old nephew and his tactical airsoft skills - with ZERO training.

Shock & Awe went out to airsoft Wed March 2nd.

"Wolf Pup" is only 8 years old and he is out there playing with the big boys.

He showed great tactics and no fear when following me into battle. I found myself in a position where I had to move forward on the OPFOR and FAST. So I jumped down a 6 foot embankment and ran forward while laying down some suppression fire. I had to get up there and put a stop to the OPFOR's advancement immediately. I rapidly found myself hiding behind a small bush where Shadow Reaper and I exchanged fire. One of his shots hit my weapon and at that point I decided to move around so the bush would be between us. That's when I exchanged fire with Red Wolf several times who ducked out of site at the next embankment where the classified documents we were fighting over were located. Wondering if anyone had followed me up to help I Iooked back to find Wolf Pup and ONLY Wolf Pup. I was unbelievably proud that out of the 3 other men a 8 year old was the one who had what it took to follow me up to a very dangerous position in order to help provide me with some cover fire. I was unbelievably PROUD.

After two games we all decided to play a "manhunt" game. So Red Wolf and Grey Wolf went out to hide. The remaining 6 of us had to hunt them down. I had Wolf Pup stick with me to help cover my back. After some intense hunting I was KIA'd by Red Wolf. I stayed on the battle field to see what Wolf Pup and some new guys had to show. At one point I began to walk toward Wolf Pup to provide him with some tactics. After about three steps he did exactly what I was going to tell him to do all by himself. Again I was unbelievably PROUD.

For the very last battle we decided to play all against all. Lady Wolf (Wolf Pups Mom) and Wolf Pup came over to me and I asked Lady Wolf if Wolf Pup wanted to be with me or her. To my complete surprise Lady Wolf told me that he wanted to go against everybody alone. Yet again I was unbelievably PROUD and decided since he was familiar with the area and we had just had 3 battles prior he would do fine alone (no snakes or etc. in the area) so I gave the okay. We all started in the center and walked away from each other in different directions. Once I got to the top of the mountain I began planning on how I would crawl back down the mountain through the brush in order to hunt everyone down. Of course in order to move that slow I would have to go to the bathroom first. This was in itself an endeavor in order to get through all my tactical gear. Once I was finished I figured the game would be on so I snuck back to the top of the mountain and then started crawling to a point where I would be able to see over in order to plan how I would crawl down. That is when I heard a noise, looking over to my left I saw Wolf Pup 3-4 feet away. Before I could even think about reacting he swung his MP5 around and pulled the trigger, then rapidly ducked back behind some brush for cover. One BB went by my right side, the next BB struck me in my eye goggles, and the 3rd BB went past my left side. "Where in the world did he come from???" I thought unable to even comprehend it at the time. I called myself out and placed my red KIA bandana on the end of my ArmaLite M16 Carbine. One more time I was unbelievably PROUD of my 8 year old nephew.

Once I got back to the staging area the guys there told me all about how Wolf Pup went to the top of the mountain BY HIMSELF, spotted me and took me out.

I just want to verify that I have mentioned this kid is only 8 YEARS OLD.
